Spiders were a big deal in stories for Native Americans and Africans. Instead of being all about evil, these tales focused on how smart and crafty spiders were. In Africa, there's this famous tricky spider named Anansi who always learned a lesson after getting caught in a mess. Then there's a Greek story about Arachne, a super talented weaver. She got in trouble because she bragged too much about being better than a goddess, Athena. Arachne even made art that dissed the gods. Athena got mad and turned her into a spider, where she had to spend her days spinning webs.
